01Start with the device clock
Check the date, time and time-zone setting on the device before changing the player’s programme-guide offset. Use the location that matches where you watch; Australian cities do not all share the same time throughout the year.
An incorrect device clock can make many listings appear wrong at once. Restart the player after correcting the clock so it reads the current settings.
02Refresh before applying an offset
Use the player’s guide refresh or update function if it has one, and wait for completion. Some guides load separately from the channel list. An empty guide immediately after adding an account may still be loading.
If only one channel is wrong, record that channel and the programme shown. A source-specific schedule error should not be corrected by moving the entire guide.
03Avoid double-correcting the time
A player may offer a global EPG offset and a separate channel offset. Check both before applying a change. Write down the original values so you can undo a test.
If your device is already using the correct local time, repeatedly adding an hour can hide the real issue and make other channels inaccurate.
04Distinguish listings from playback features
A programme guide is a schedule. It does not by itself establish that catch-up or recording is available. Those features depend on the supplied stream, account, device and player.
When asking for help, include your city, local time, player and an example of the scheduled programme versus what is playing. Do not send credentials.
