Connect the Fire TV to your television and home network. Open the device settings to record the model and software version. Make sure you are controlling the Fire TV interface rather than the television’s built-in app menu.
Use the same network you normally watch on. If an Ethernet adapter is available for your model, it can be useful for comparing inconsistent Wi-Fi playback.
02Choose the installation route for your model
Check the device’s app store for your intended compatible player. App availability can vary by model and region. If the recommended player is not listed, request the verified publisher instructions from support before installing anything.
Do not assume an Android phone package or an arbitrary Downloader code is the correct TV app. The trial form lets Fire TV users request our player or identify an existing player.
03Add the supplied service details
When your access is confirmed, select the login method named in the instructions. Enter the server, username and password in their separate fields, or use the playlist option if you were supplied an M3U link.
Allow the channel and on-demand lists to finish loading. Keep the original access message private so you can check spelling without posting screenshots of your credentials.
04Test the remote and playback
Open one live stream, one on-demand title and the programme guide. Try the back button, favourites and subtitles where the player supports them. Close playback on other devices if your plan has one connection.
If you need help, send the Fire TV model, player version and exact error. For pauses rather than login errors, use our buffering guide before changing account settings.
Try it on your own screen.
Check your preferred content and home setup before choosing a subscription.
